A former man who is hopelessly transformed into a mushroom man thanks to your party, Funguy joins you partly out of spite, and also in hopes of finding a cure to what ails him. While he may not look it, Funguy is fairly powerful in battle.

Recruitment
To get Funguy to join you, you have to get a Mushroom, which can be done two ways. Near the end of Shadow Forest, in the passageway that leads to Viper Manor (Home World), there will be a large hole in the wall on the side. If previously, you rolled the boulder to cover this hole, you will have to find a bug in the area to chase into another hole further down. If you did not cover the hole, there will be a boy standing near it. Defeat the Wraith in battle. After doing either of these, a man jumps out of the hole and gives you the mushroom. Take it to the man under the waterfall, back near the middle of the forest.
